No prior experience is necessary for any of our courses

If you are looking for qualifications in Wall and Floor Tiling, Plumbing or Plastering, we can offer these awards on all of our courses, this certificate is proof of your competence documenting all units covered. The certificate will be sent out by the governing body direct to you after the appropriate documentation and written assessments are completed by us, this will go towards your NVQ 2.

You will be working in a personal, purpose built equipped unit for hands on practical learning; every person is different, some people learn quicker than others so the course is designed around easy learning, very easy to follow and no embarrassing situations will occur, there is no need to feel uneasy about anything. Enjoy and learn is the motto. The course is suitable for anyone who has some or absolutely no experience whatsoever.

As well as lots of practical work, demonstrations and knowledge sessions will also run throughout the course, these knowledge sessions are essential and are as equally as important as the Manual parts of your training, they cover all the background preparations, different materials, correct tools etc, and prepare you for what you will come across in the real world.

WITHOUT THIS KNOWLEDGE, YOU CANNOT AND WILL NOT DO THE JOB PROPERLY.

There are no tests or exams to de done on the course. Learn all the tips and tricks of the trade as well as how to use tools, manual and electric. Ongoing advice after you leave is always available by email, telephone or call back in to the centre if you live local enough. Each of our courses comes with a full comprehensive back up manual of all the contents of the course for you to take away

After completing the course, you will probably find that the cost of the course will pay for itself whether it is a DIY job for yourself (save on getting costly tradesmen in) or a future paying customer in your new business career, whichever path you decide to take. A Quality laminated watermarked certificate will be awarded on the last day for each pupil. If you wish to have a Nationally recognized award also and your training fully assessed, you can be accredited with a level 2 certificate (there will be a fee to pay if you require this certificate for assessment and admin work)

4 Day Wall and Floor Tiling Course. (1 week)
NO PRIOR TILING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
This 4 day course above certainly delivers the goods and will give you a full understanding of all the topics below, why things work and why they don't. This will help you out immensely when you are running your own tiling business. Our teaching methods are very clear and very easy to follow, You will be looked after by 3 trainers, there is always someone close to help you out, should you need any help. We are here to help you succeed. We have made our course very straight forward and easy to follow so there is no need to worry about anything. Don't forget you have unlimited access to our after care service when you have finished should you need any further advice.
(Because our courses start at 8.45am and finish at 6.00pm every day, 2 hours longer than a normal tiling course, it is a five day course content, run over 4 days).

1 Day Natural Stone Course

A must if you want to put yourself ahead of the average ceramic Tiler.

50% of the tiles sold now is natural stone, learn how to deal with all these types of tile

You will gain a full understanding of all the natural stone tiles, marble, slate, granite, porcelain, travertine, terracotta etc.

You will be fixing slate tiles to the floor and marble to the walls in this course as well as drilling holes and cutting them with diamond tipped cutting tools, you will gain an understanding of all the appropriate sealers that go with these tiles as well.

This 9 day course covers all the information that is on our 4 day Tiling course and the natural stone course above plus 4 extra days advanced wall and floor Tiling training in one straight forward course.
This course can give you the best possible start for a new career in Wall and Floor Tiling.
On this course we cover just about every possible situation you are about to encounter and gives you the knowledge on how to earn a living and be self employed as a professional wall and floor Tiler.

No prior tiling experience is necessary for this course
All the training you will ever need will be covered in depth in this time with a back up of about 50 pages of course information; you do not need a longer course than this one.

4 Day Plastering Courses (1 week)

This fast track plastering course will enable you to prepare any surface prior to tiling work or simply do a paying customer's full ceiling or wall plastering job to a quality standard. By the end of the course you plastered wall finish will be like glass
You will be working in your own room sized bay and have to complete a full plaster job from the boarding out of walls and ceilings to the final skim coat. We keep the numbers down to a minimum so we can give more individual attention. As well as learning all the tricks of the trade in plastering to get you up to speed quickly, you will be taken through a full understanding of running a self employed plastering business from tools to pricing jobs and dealing with customers. A full detailed information handout book will be given to all students, this valuable book will detail all the different surface preparation and different situations that you are likely to come across when plastering for a living out in the real world. Plasterers alone can earn up to £250 per day.

1 Day Coving and Artex Covering Course

This one day add on plastering course includes more skimming practice plus fitting coving to ceilings, cutting internal and external mitres and stop ends.
You will also be skimming/ covering over Artex ceilings to get them smooth.
There is a big demand now for getting Artex smooth again and 70% of domestic jobs will require this to be done and you will loose out by not offering this service.
This is a busy full on practical day in the workshop, this course will definitely increase your earning potential and this course should pay for itself after completing your first customer job.
This course is on a Friday and will run after the 4 day course.

4 Day Plumbing Course

Don’t be fooled by the length of this course, it delivers the goods, This intensive fast track comprehensive bathroom plumbing course is a fantastic addition and a must for any Tiler or Plasterer or a great way to start a plumbing career, take away the problems of relying on other tradesmen to work with you. This course simply makes life easier for you with a bonus of making more money.
We will teach you the easiest methods to shut off the hot and cold water inside a domestic house, drain down, take out and replace sanitary ware, wash basins, baths, showers and toilet using all push fittings, compression fittings and soldered Yorkshire fittings along with copper and flexible pipes that can be easily connected in any situation. No prior plumbing skills are necessary for this course, as with all our courses they are extensively backed up with pre typed up note information handouts for you to take home with you after you leave the course. We will teach you copper pipe bending and soldering with heat flame guns, until you have a solid sealed fitting all tested as well under water pressure.
